Plans for what’s left of Downtown Plaza in downtown Sacramento are taking shape. New sketches filed with the city show what the former mall facing Golden 1 Center will look like.

What’s called “Plaza West” will have a central pedestrian area leading into the plaza around the arena. The redeveloped mall, according to the application, would have 28,000 square feet of new retail space on that plaza frontage, north of the existing Macy’s store.
