Hunter’s Point Shipyard News Release

Lennar Urban and the Hunters Point Shipyard Citizens Advisory Committee, in consultation with the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, have awarded five organizations $225,000 in grants. The grants are a result of the Phase I Disposition Development Agreements’ Community Benefits Program signed April 4, 2005. These organizations currently are operating job training programs and will use the funds to enhance their efforts in District 10. The grants, in part, will assist with non-traditional means of job-support including GED testing, new clothing for interviews and equipment required for construction jobs.
